Curriculum & Instruction
Welcome to Worth County Primary School’s Curriculum and Instruction webpage!
Our school proudly serves students in Kindergarten through Second Grade with a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned to the state standards. Instruction in all subject areas is designed to build strong academic foundations while nurturing curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
We use universal screening in both literacy and mathematics to monitor student progress and identify strengths and needs early. This data-driven approach supports our robust Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), ensuring that students who need additional help receive timely, targeted instruction while all learners are appropriately challenged.
Our literacy program is grounded in the Science of Reading, emphasizing systematic, explicit instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Student learning is communicated through a standards-based report card, providing families with clear, meaningful information about progress toward grade-level expectations. Together, these practices ensure every child is supported on their path to success.
