What is a memory? According to Worth County Primary second graders, a memory is: happy thoughts, things that make you laugh, something that you remember from long ago or a few minutes ago, something that you look at, something that you love, something that makes you sad, and something that is stuck in your mind and will never come out.

The Memory Garden was dedicated on May 20, 2001. It honors the memory of children and adults who passed away while they were students or employed at the school. Remembrance ceremonies are held as needed. The Outdoor Classroom Student Advisory Council played a key part in the design of the area, as did Amy Carter, Horticulturalist at UGA College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences - NESPAL.
