Hours of Operation

The WCPS media center is open from 7:30-8:05  daily for 1st and 2nd grade students to check out AR books. Pre K and Kindergarten students check out books when they visit the media center with their class.

Students and faculty have access to all media services, materials, and equipment daily.  

Damaged Materials

Keeping our books in great shape is a priority in our media center.  In order to keep our books in the best shape possible, your child is responsible for his/her books while it is checked out to them.  Students are not allowed to check out additional books until damaged books are returned.  We order our books so that they are bound tight so replacements for a damaged book will not be accepted.

Book Storage Procedures

Students are provided large Ziplock bags to keep their library books in. This is to protect books from water bottles, crayons/pencils, etc. while they are in book bags, desks, or at home. We ask students to keep their books inside their Ziplock bag when they are not reading them and to keep their bag/books in their bookbag when they are not reading them at home. Books should come back to school each day.
